Why is asking for help so hard? Maybe because we mistake it for weakness. But think of it: when a friend asks you for help, do you see them as weak or do you feel honoured? We humans are wired for connection. Asking doesn’t diminish you—it lets others step in and be part of your journey. Carrying pain alone doesn’t make you strong; it makes you lonely. It’s not about dumping your struggles on someone. It’s about saying: “I can’t do this all by myself right now. Can you stand beside me?” More often than not, people will. And in that moment, strength isn’t in holding everything—it’s in being open enough to share the weight.
