In your search for why, you’ll first stop at people. Why did this fail - person ‘x’ is responsible. Why did it happen to me - person ‘y’ is the reason. Our mind, as usual, thinks ahead when it’s a negative situation. It spirals. In some of these spirals, you fight people - verbally and physically. This sparring is your rage. There’s no reality to it. Much like Dumbledore and Harry’s conversation at King’s Cross after Voldemort killed Harry (tried to, again!). If you are angry at them, they are submissive. You shout, vent your anger and bend them to your will. You bully them into admitting that they caused you the pain.

What now? Nothing. No change to your pain. So should you go and live this fight? Odds are that you’ll lose face and a relationship. No gain. Plus, this time you are fighting another conscience so it will fight back.

This person may be responsible for your pain but you are too. Take responsibility for yourself. That’s the only people responsible who matter and will change for you.
