Life isn’t about giving every aspect equal weight at the same time—it’s about recognizing what needs attention in the moment. Work, family, health, friendships, personal growth—they all matter, but not simultaneously and definitely not equally. Trying to perfect every area at once only leaves you exhausted and resentful. Balance is dynamic, not static. It shifts. Some weeks, your work will demand priority. Other times, your mental health or relationships must take the lead. The art lies in adjusting without guilt. A neglected area today can be nurtured tomorrow. 

Think of it as nutrition for your soul. Similar to how the body needs varying amounts of every macro like fats, carbs, protein etc, your soul also needs each part to be taken care of but with varying amounts of time and effort. The beauty is that you can indulge, over-indulge or neglect something for some time which is perfectly fine. As long as you come back to it soon.

Otherwise the soul will remember. Your gut remembers 3 nights of spicy chimichanga and will react on the 4th morning. Care for it soon and nurse it back to health.

Balance allows being uneven. It doesn’t mean constant in the middle all the time because that is exhausting.
