Our mind is very gullible. Or maybe it’s very powerful. It believes what you tell it. And if you tell it with conviction, it makes you work overtime to achieve it. But that’s the thing with adaptable things - they can be used for good and bad things.

A negative spiral or a fight in your head - breeds pain in your mind. This fills you up with negative energy and it comes out at the slightest nudge. That explains a lot of road rage incidents, doesn’t it? No reason, no justification - just emotional reactions.

One may think that these reactions relieve you but they instead drain you of energy. It creates a void and then it just fills up with shame, guilt or rage again.

So is it the opposite that you should be positive and just trust yourself? Yes and no. Yes, you should be positive. But without a why, your mind will break it down. The trick is repetition. Repeat the positivity without anticipating results. This belief needs to stem from kindness. Be kind to yourself and believe.
