CURIOSITY

Children are endlessly curious. They poke, prod, ask “why” until adults get tired. Somewhere along the way, we stop asking questions. We assume we know enough. But curiosity is one of the most powerful mental tools we have. Fear says: “This is bad. I can’t handle it.” Curiosity says: “What’s happening here? What can I learn?” That shift changes everything. It doesn’t erase pain, but it transforms it into exploration instead of punishment.

Think of mistakes. Instead of “I failed,” curiosity asks, “What was missing? What’s the next step?” Instead of “Why me?” it asks, “Why now? What’s this trying to show me?” Curiosity turns obstacles into experiments. You stop being the victim of your story and become the researcher of it. You don’t need to be endlessly optimistic. Just be willing to ask one more question before you judge yourself. Curiosity is not naïve—it’s resilient.
